Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s largest street festival kicked off in fine style on Sunday with crowds descending on West London for its 50th annual Bank Holiday celebration.
Blinged out costumes and child friendly floats entertained the thousands of partygoers in attendance. With a vast display of steel pans and uplifting calypso baselines, ‘Children’s Day’ proved to be a thoroughly entertaining spectacle.
Depending on your musical preference Carnival had something for everyone ranging from popular sound systems playing the very best of reggae sounds to steel bands and soca groups.
With thousands expected to line the streets on Monday, Mother Nature conspired to make this year’s carnival…well, wet! Yet, despite grey skys and regular downpours, it didn’t seem to dampen the spirits of the crowds in attendance.
The deanscreative team joined partygoers for carnival street celebrations, with plenty of soca dancing and shapes being cut in the rain! All in all a fun filled day with great music, good food and a thoroughly wet experience!!
